Make it. Sell it.

The short version

• Club members may use any good they download in their own business, and sell what they make from it, with no limit on how many.
• A good bought outright, or downloaded during a 7-day pass, carries the same rights, capped at 500 items sold from that good.
• Free downloads are for personal use.
• Nobody may sell, share or give away the digital file, or anything made from it that is itself a digital product.

What you may do

• Print a good and sell what you print — at a market, a fair, in your own shop, or in your own online store.
• Use a good in the running of your business: packaging, order inserts, signage, planners, trackers, listing images and mock-ups.
• Personalise a good with a customer's details as part of selling your own product — names on invitations, a logo on a box, a date on a planner.
• Change colours, sizes, wording or layout to suit what you are making.
• Use a website or shop template on your own site or store.
• Keep using what you downloaded while your Club membership was active, even after you cancel.

What you may not do

• Sell, share or give away any digital version — the file itself, a copy, an export, or anything made from it that is itself a digital product. Paid or free, alone or in a bundle.
• Sell or publish an altered version. Editing for your own use is fine; selling or sharing the result as a digital product is not.
• Upload a good to a print-on-demand or marketplace service where the file itself is what is uploaded and sold — Redbubble, Printify, Merch on Demand and the like.
• Take design-for-hire work with our files — being paid to hand a design, or a customised digital copy of one, to someone else.
• Build or stock a competing library, shop, subscription or membership of digital goods with Curatery goods.
• Claim authorship of a good, or register one, or a design taken from one, as your own trademark.

Questions people ask

Can I sell printed items I make from a good?

Yes, as long as you got the good as a Club member, bought it, or downloaded it during a pass. A Club member has no limit; otherwise it is 500 items from that good.

Can I add a customer's name or details?

Yes. Personalising what you are making and selling is part of selling your own product.

Can I send the customer the digital file?

No. What you sell is the physical thing. The file stays with you, however it has been changed.

Can I use a good for a client's project?

Not if the job is handing over the design. Using a good to make and sell your own product is fine; being paid to produce a design, or a customised file, for someone else is not.

Can I upload a good to Printify, Redbubble or a similar service?

No. Those services take the file itself, which is exactly what the licence doesn't allow.

Can I use a good in a logo or brand mark?

You may use one in your own branding, but you may not register a good, or a design taken from one, as a trademark.

What happens if I cancel my membership?

Goods you downloaded while your membership was active keep their Club licence, with no limit, for as long as you use them. Anything you download afterwards follows the free rules.

I'm not selling anything. Does any of this affect me?

No. Download what you like within your allowance or membership and use it at home. The only rule that matters to you is the one about not passing files on.
