Digital goods for whatever you're into, & whatever you sell.

About Curatery
Curatery is a place for digital goods that are made well and organized so you can actually find them.
It has two sides: the Corners, where you'll find digital goods in all sorts of categories and styles, and the Nooks, where we write about things we think are useful, interesting, or worth sharing.
They might seem like two different ideas, but they're really built around the same thing. We like finding, making, and organizing good stuff.
Why Curatery Exists
There is so much clutter on the internet now.
Having more choices should be a good thing, but somewhere along the way quantity started winning over quality. You can search for something incredibly specific and still end up sorting through pages of things that are rushed, repetitive, poorly made, or nearly identical to everything around them.
We don't think the answer is more stuff. We think it's better stuff.
Everything here is created specifically for Curatery by our in-house team of designers, and we are pretty picky about what goes into it. Because we curate everything ourselves, there's room for lots of different ideas, styles, and creative interests, while still keeping the quality we want Curatery to be known for.
That also gives us the freedom to be a little unusual.
We Don't Really Believe in Picking One Thing
There's more than 20 years of experience in graphic design, illustration, art, and web development behind Curatery. What makes us unique is that we've never been very good at the whole "pick one niche and stick to it" thing. There are simply too many interesting things to make!
The internet tends to reward consistency in a very particular way. Pick a niche, settle on an aesthetic, make the same general kind of thing over and over, and eventually an algorithm figures out where you belong.
Curatery wasn't built for an algorithm, because humans aren't built for algorithms!
It was built to leave room for creativity and discovery to flow in many different directions, working with human nature rather than against it. You can come looking for a printable and discover a crochet pattern you'd love to make, find cut files for your next project, wander into an entirely different art style you didn't know you'd like, or stumble across something you didn't even know existed five minutes ago.
And you shouldn't have to dig through a mountain of poorly made stuff to find the good things. We care about the details. We look at what we make, use it, check it, and make sure it's something we're actually happy to put in front of you. Having lots to discover is only fun when the things you're discovering are worth finding.
With so many different things to explore, we also didn't want to force everything into one style just for the sake of making it all match. So we gave different creative styles and interests their own Corners.
What's a Corner?
Corners are a little like publishing imprints, just for digital goods.
One might be full of really simple, minimal pages for organizing your life. Another is all cute stationery and kawaii illustrations. They're very different from each other, but that's what makes browsing Curatery fun. You can like all of them. (We certainly do!)
Keeping them in their own Corners means you can wander through all kinds of different style personalities without everything being thrown together into one giant pile. And when you find a Corner that's very much your taste, you can browse everything from it in one place or follow it to see what gets added next.
You might even start recognizing them after a while. If you keep saving things you like and realize half of them came from the same Corner, well, now you know where to look when you want more.
A Few Things We Care About
- Good quality. We don't want to add something simply because we can. There is already enough mediocre stuff on the internet.
- Being able to find things again. We really love organizing things. Probably more than is reasonable. Corners, Collections, Nooks, categories, and all the other ways of getting around Curatery exist because finding something good isn't very useful if you immediately lose it again.
- Room to be interested in things. Curatery doesn't need one niche, one aesthetic, or one subject. That's sort of the point.
- Actual people making decisions. Algorithms can be useful tools, but they don't decide what belongs here, what gets made, or what we think is worth showing you.
- Being straightforward. Sponsored articles are labeled. Reviews come from people who actually downloaded the good they're reviewing. Prices are shown on every good. We like knowing what we're getting when we shop somewhere, and we think you should too.
And it gives you a place to poke around and, hopefully, find something you love that's really good.
