The Fine Print
Community Guidelines
How we keep Curatery a kind, useful place to share what you make and love.
Where These Apply
These guidelines cover everything members post or share on Curatery: reviews of goods, comments on Nook articles, public collections, and your profile (your display name and picture). They sit alongside our Terms of Use.
Be Kind: No Harassment
Disagree with ideas, not people. Don't:
- Insult, threaten, bully, or repeatedly target another member, a Corner, or anyone else
- Post hateful content or attack people for who they are, including their race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or age
- Share someone's private information, such as their address, phone number, or email
- Post sexual, violent, or graphic content
No Spam
Keep what you post genuine and relevant. Don't:
- Advertise, promote other shops or services, or post referral or affiliate links
- Post the same thing again and again, or post content unrelated to the page it's on
- Write fake reviews, review something you haven't used, or post reviews in exchange for payment or favours
- Post reviews or comments just to collect points
Respect Other People's Work: No Infringement
Only post what's yours to share. Don't upload or paste images, text, designs, or files that belong to someone else without their permission, and don't share Curatery files outside the site.
If you believe your work is being used on Curatery without permission, follow the steps in our Copyright Policy to send a notice. Members who repeatedly infringe copyright have their accounts closed.
Be Yourself: No Impersonation
Don't pretend to be another person, a Corner, a brand, or someone from Curatery, and don't use a name or picture meant to make people think you are. Don't create accounts to get around a limit or a suspension.
Honest Reviews
Reviews should reflect your own experience with the good. Free members earn points for posting reviews, but points never depend on the rating or on what the review says, so there's no reason to write anything but what you really think.
Reporting Something
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, use the Report link under the review, comment, or public collection. You'll need to be signed in. Adding a note about what's wrong is optional but helps. Reports go to the Curatery team, and the member you report isn't told who reported them.
You can also email us at hello@curatery.com.
What We May Do
We review reports and may, depending on what happened:
- Remove or edit a review, comment, or profile detail
- Make a public collection private or remove it
- Limit or suspend an account, or close it for serious or repeated problems
If you think we got something wrong, email us and we'll take another look.
